Red Velvet Cake Recipe

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. 2. In a bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.

3. In a separate large bowl, mix together oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla extract until well combined. 4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

5. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.

Cream Cheese Frosting: 1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. 2. Mix in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and creamy.

3. Frost the Cake: Once the cakes are completely cooled, frost the top of one cake layer with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. 

4. Serve: Slice and serve the Red Velvet Cake. Enjoy!
