Gingerbread Pumpkin Pie

Instructions: 1. Preheat the Oven Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2. Prepare the Pie Crust Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, crimping the edges as desired.

3. Mix Pumpkin Filling In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. Add fresh ginger if desired.

4. Bake the Pie Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.

5. Reduce Oven Temperature After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 45-50 minutes, or until the filling is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

6. Cool and Serve: Allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack before serving. Serve at room temperature or chilled, optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
