Classic Apple Crumble Pie

Instructions: 1. Preparing the Crust: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add chilled butter cubes and using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

2. Preparing the Filling: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until evenly coated. 

3. Preparing the Crumble Topping: In a separate bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

4. Assembling the Pie: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the chilled dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to fit a 9-inch pie dish.

5. Baking the Pie: Place the assembled pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips and bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

6. Serving: Serve the apple crumble pie warm or at room temperature, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top.
